We are looking for a great lawyer to join our renowned commercial/insurance practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a highly professional team, advising and assisting on a wide variety of high quality, commercial law projects within the insurance sector.
We recognise that our lawyers value the ability to work flexibly - we have agile working policies to facilitate flexible working and we are happy to consider both full time working and candidates seeking 4 days per week.
What will you be doing?
You will primarily be advising insurers, brokers, MGAs, MGUs, service providers to the insurance industry and policyholders on transactional commercial and technology law matters as well as on data privacy.
You can expect to carry out work for an impressive array of clients, including well-known insurance brands and new entrants. The role will involve advising our insurance sector clients on product distribution arrangements, including TOBAs, distribution agreements and affinity/corporate partnerships; appointed representative arrangements; technology and business process outsourcings (including material outsourcings); policy administration agreements; commercial/technology joint ventures; InsurTech arrangements; and online trading matters. Whilst this is not a regulatory role, an understanding of the financial services regime as it applies to the above commercial arrangements would be an advantage.
Data protection is also a key aspect of our work, and experience of its application in the insurance sector would be useful.
The firm is very active in insurance related M&A and you will therefore also provide technical support to the corporate team, particularly in relation to broker asset purchases.
